Apple Nut Ring
2 packages (7.5 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits 2/3 cups sugar 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1/4 cup melted butter 2 Granny Smith Apples 1/3 cup Chopped Nuts
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Separate the biscuits.
Dip each biscuit in the melted butter and roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Arrange in a baking dish. Peel, core and cut the apples into slices and place an apple between each biscuit and around the outer edge of your baking dish.
Mix the nuts with the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture and sprinkle over the biscuits and apples - for topping. Bake 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are a deep golden brown.
Serve warm. Makes 10 servings
